My inspiration comes from being in expansive, tranquil landscapes: places where sky and land converge, and where the mind finds respite from life’s relentless pace.
Each artwork captures the sense of a moment, an abstract memory, a feeling of balance and tranquility about myself and the special places.
My art seeks to capture an atmosphere; a feeling beyond words.
I use the ancient skills of wet feltmaking with wools, fabrics and papers to create my ‘ground’ or canvas, onto which I then respond with inks and threads.
I have a minimal and monochromatic palette, which appears simple from afar, but draws you in for closer inspection to a world of intricate detail and texture.
My work is an invitation to connect with your inner sense of peace and equanimity.Â
Each artwork is a journey back to those places that stir your soul.
